Life Drawing (Adults)

A 2.5 hour session, employing exercises which are designed to help to relax the brain while focusing on observing the nude model. These simple exercises both take away the fear of drawing and hone observational skills. Unlike most life drawing sessions, this class is structured for absolute beginners, giving them a gentle introduction to a drawing discipline that many people feel is the most challenging of all. Life drawing is accessible to everyone, and has been proven to be a valuable activity for keeping the brain active and preventing memory loss. Some easels and A3 drawing boards provided; bring both if you have them. Paper and charcoal will be provided.

10am – 12:30pm $30.

A taster for Julia’s 5 week course, Drawing for the Terrified, aims to unlock our ‘right’ brains and build confidence by focusing on the rules of drawing and revealing the reasons why we make mistakes. Relaxing and enjoyable exercises demonstrate how our brains fool us into drawing what we ‘know’ rather than what we actually see. All basic materials provided.
